My wife and I recently got married at Calamus and we could not have chosen a better venue. The staff were amazing! They made the day smooth, easy and relatively stress free. The incredible food, gorgeous vineyard and late night stargazing made it a wedding people won't soon forget.

We fell in love with this winery years ago and decided to have our wedding here. From start to finish it was the most smooth process we have ever experienced. Not once as a bride was I stressed. Makayla made sure our day was perfect. The staff during the wedding were professional and fun. The food, Dj everything that Calamus provided was beyond what we could of imagined. Our guests can’t get over how amazing the wedding was from corn hole, to the scotch and cigar bar to the delicious wines. We can’t thank Calamus enough for letting us have our perfect wedding there.

I had my wedding here in July 2022. It is a beautiful venue and the staff are lovely. Makayla is a dream; she was always there to answer questions when needed, and always entertained my family (even when there was a lot of wine sampling happening). Her driving skills on the RV are top notch and a fun memory for my husband and I.I was a COVID bride who lives abroad, so they thankfully moved my wedding date from 2021 to 2022.Makayla always made sure I had a drink in my hand in between the ceremony and reception which was very much appreciated to calm my nerves.The food was phenomenal. We offered guests a choice between the steak, chicken supreme, and eggplant parmigiana for vegetarians. We chose the caprese salad and pasta rigatoni (family style) for starters. All delicious and raved about by guests.The smore favours are HUGE and an awesome touch.Things I would have done differently:I didn't realize until it was too late that I could have the ceremony earlier. I had it at 5 but wish I would have started at least a half an hour earlier.Overall, I am happy with my choice of venue and wish I could relive the day!

Makayla has completed weddings at various Niagara wineries for over 15 years, earning her way to become Calamus’s Sales & Event Coordination Manager. Makayla’s passion is ensuring couples have the wedding they dreamed of without worry! We’ve created an extensive all-inclusive package at Calamus, covering many of the important vendors within the package and including one-of-a-kind experiences for your guests. As Makayla truly believes the less you have to worry about for your wedding the better! It is very important to us that not only you both but all of your guests have that amazing Calamus experience on your wedding day! Since 2018, Makayla manages a professional wedding team as well as works with some fantastic vendors. Makayla would be happy to assist in the planning of your wedding day!
